On July 29th, Lloyd Jones held our first team volunteer event with Annabel’s Closet as part of our Impactful Investing ESG campaign. Members of the Orlando and Daytona properties were joined by several corporate team members for a day of service by volunteering to organize the warehouse and complete pickups and deliveries of household items.
“I was completely in awe over the impact this organization has on the local community. Today our Lloyd Jones team cleaned and sanitized new items, assembled furniture and loaded a truck headed to a mother of five children. It felt very rewarding to know I was providing quality housing that makes lives better in a new and impactful way,” said Joei Lemacks, director of training.
Annabel’s Closet is a non-profit organization based in Orlando whose mission is to assist families of domestic violence. The organization collects donations of gently used furniture and essential household items to help families start a fresh life in their new homes.
“We chose this organization because its mission ties closely with our own,” Joei said. “Our shared goal is that everyone and their families deserve a safe, clean, and well-appointed home.”
