Joseph Raia
Joseph Raia has more than six years of experience in financial analysis, underwriting, and deal sourcing for multifamily and hotel real estate. As vice president of investments at Lloyd Jones, he and his team source and analyze multifamily acquisitions nationwide, with a focus on the southeast United States.
Previously, Joe served as a real estate associate at Sonder, a boutique apartment-hotel hospitality firm that manages short-term rentals. There, he identified acquisition opportunities in adaptive reuse and new construction multifamily and hotel projects throughout all major North American markets. During his tenure, Joe was integral in standardizing the company’s acquisition strategy as Sonder scaled from a start-up to a billion-dollar firm with more than 15,000 units under management.
Prior to Sonder, Joe held progressive roles in analyzing, underwriting, and due diligence at large commercial real estate firms in South Florida, including senior analyst at SitusAMC (SITUS).
Joe graduated magna cum laude from Florida State University with a bachelor’s degree in real estate and professional sales.
